Bird Breeders

Your bird can live a long healthy life, if given the proper diet.  Strict seed diet is not the way. A diet consisting of fruits and vegetables, meats (including boiled hard bones), beans, pasta, whole wheat bread, and rice.  Pits from fruits are not good.  Chocolate, alcohol, caffeine, rhubarb, avocados, and tobacco are deadly.  Basically, anything that is healthy for you, is healthy for your bird.  If you are not sure about certain foods, you should contact a vet, breeder, or a pet store.  Reading is another source.  There are a few exotic bird magazines out there that are loaded with information, give them a read.
