The 1950's were the beginning of the Havana Brown cat. Domestic cats carrying the brown recessive gene were bred to Siamese, and occasionally Russian Blues, to produce a chestnut brown cat the color of a fine Havana cigar. These cats have a distinctive head type noted for a muzzle shaped like a corn cob. They are medium in size but muscular. This cat needs human contact and enjoys human companionship.
