The Longhaired Oriental, now known as the Javanese, was selectively bred from Oriental cats and long-coated cats of exceptional Oriental type. Medium long on the body and without undercoat, the coat of the Javanese cat is fine with a silky texture. It flows over the body and forms a frill around the shoulders and chest.
