Middle Asian Ovcharka
Breeders
This breed originated in the Ural
Mountains of Siberia. The Ovcharka protects flocks for the Nomadic tribes in
Siberia and Mongolia. The Uzbek and Kazakhstan line may be found in Russia but are
steadily making their way to the new world. The resemblance to the Tibetan Mastiff lends
them the name "Caucasians." This dog measures an average of 27 inches at
the shoulders and adapts well to any conditions. Their coats are
short and thick and
colors come in black, white, gray, or brindle. Socialization is necessary if
this
wonderful breed is to be a family pet and you must certainly train them before they become larger than your
families members. Contact the
dog breeders below for your next family friend.
