Touted as one of the most beautiful dogs, this spitz-family member was discovered by people who stumbled upon the Samoyed's Indian tribe in Northern Siberia. It was then brought to Europe in the late 1800's and brought to North American soil in the early 1900's. The Samoyed stands an average of 23½ at the shoulder.
