Skye
Terrier (Western Island Terrier) Breeders
This
breed originated in Scotland in the 1500's, making it one of the oldest
Terrier
breeds. The Skye Terrier became well known throughout England and the U.S. by the
early 1900's. They
were used for hunting otters, badgers and weasel and are fearless, sturdy, well tempered
and intelligent little animals. Skye Terriers stand up to 10 inches at the
shoulder and have a long coarse coat which requires some grooming. Exercise is minimal which
makes it an excellent companion for city folk. They make great
watchdogs and are loyal
companions and rambunctious playmates for their family. Contact the dog breeders below for
your next family friend.
